I'm in terrible pain, my gum has been hurting for the whole day, tink the wisdom tooth is coming out. My gum is so swollen that i cant even close my mouth!

I really hope i dun have to do the surgery to remove it, sounds scary according to wad JK has said, and it'll cost me a bomb now that SAF dosen subsidise my medical fees anymore.

On a brighter note, my employment contract is coming to an end soon, hope my boss will give me a better deal, now that there ain't any job agent sucking my salary. Its looking gd though, my boss's quite happy with my work... LOL!

Happy New Year to ALL!!!

First time went for a new year countdown yest, at vivo, though we din noe need tickets to enter, so we were sort of roaming ard, trying to find a good spot to see the fireworks. In the end, we din even get to really "COUNT" down, our timing was abit off, and the fireworks appeared in the other side of Vivo... :( haha...

After tat played some pool and Dw lend us his car back home as it was already 3am. Pretty thankful to him for his offer, i oso long time never drive liao, so the trip from bedok to sengkang was rather shiok, i was going >100km/h on the TPE in a Kia Picanto... LOL!

Well its time for some New Year resolutions huh?

1. Lose weight - yes i noe this was also my resolution for the past 2 years, but obviously i din achieve the goal... Haha... will try harder tis yr...

2. Do well in uni - Really gotta pull my socks up, this is the final and most impt leg of my education journey, will need something good to get a good job in the future... So my target is at least First Class Honours, but i'll be aiming for the Dean's List!

3. Get a gf??? (hehe... )

Had an enjoyable evening yesterday, steamboat with our Seng-Hou Affiliations Gang @DW's place.

It was fun horsing around and stuffs, the food though ordinary, tasted great. Most importantly it was just a cool evening with all ur best buddies, tucking into good food, chatting and watching Jacky Wu show together. Nothing beats that man!

And also, we managed to buy just the right amount of food, to make everyone very full, and still spend reasonably little. Each of us only had to fork out less than 8 bucks, which was a fantastic deal. Felt a lil bad DW had to do all the dishes, i guess everyone were juz too full to wanna move off the chair. LOL!

And to think that i was considering to buy lotsa stuff, seems rather impossible right now, unless my boss reads this post and decides to give me a pay rise... LOL!

Worked as a goodie bag packer on tues and wed, the latter being more fun as jk & kl joined me, and work was less "xiong"... Earned ard 90 bucks only for packing 4000 bags, lol... But still, its money...

Haha, clear leave very free, so everyday oso can blog...

Yesterday watched death note, quite nice and intriguing, and a surprise twist to the ending. Actually not the real ending, cos got part 2, and the death god is quite comical... LOL... Recommended movie!!!

Today went back camp for cohesion, which was crap cos we went for NE tour!!! Super Super sian but finally its over, very tired now, think i'll take a nap...

Back to blog after a long long time... Haha... Actually got alot of time to blog, but i'm juz too lazy... I'm almost done with NS, officially 2 months from today i will ORD... YEAH!!!

I'm seriously considering getting a vehicle as transportation for uni life... Cos i dun really feel like "staying in", but if i dun, the 2 options left are taking bus or train, both are not very viable cos the bus journeys can take up to 5 hrs a day, which is crazy... Train is out too, its gonna be very expensive after the recent fare hikes... Sigh...

So i'm intending to get a mini-van, maybe a Renault Kangoo, to serve as a mode of transportation. Problem is i will need a business name to register such vehicles, so anyone out there who owns a business can lend me their names??? Haha...

Stay-in confirmed... Will not be going home between 15th to 22th Sept... the feeling sucks... the ORD mood i've been feeling for the past 2 months suddenly vanished... Its like one big stumbling block that stands between me and my ORD date...

Been longing for a vehicle, one that belongs to me, be it a car or even a mini-van, i juz wanna have my own "space"... why is it that everything tat i wan dosen come? why is it that everything i dun wan came flying at me?

Sigh... can i change the stay-in to a vehicle of my own??? Fuck the army!

I am furious at the proposed bus and train fare hikes, this scenario was exactly wads predicted when the cab fares when up. Well we saw it coming didn't we? The additional cab fares went into the cabbies' pockets, and not the cab companies, so why did they insist on fare increments when it dosen benefit them?

Well, the ans is to force commuters into taking buses and trains, and then they'll increase the fares for these 2 services. Actually i wun mind a fare hike if they provide much better services, i understand that diesel prices have been on the rise. But the fact is the services are getting from bad to worst.

Buses and trains are getting more and more crowded, and the frequencies of trips are getting outright ridiculous, so wad reason do they have to increase our fares. They'll insisted on making leg space so little to cramp another seat into the row, so that 2 more person can sit and make 40 ppl have an uncomfortable journey. They'll insisted on sending out single deck buses during peak hours, so that ppl can bump into each other when the drivers jam the brakes.

I find their proposal very unacceptable, if the fare hikes are really implemented, i shall initiate a protest!

Back to blog... Been trying hard to strike lottery, but nothing won yet... haha.. Will continue to try for a car, then i can practice my driving skills le... Realised i'm losing it after driving on DW's Nissan Sunny today... haha... The brake pedal's is a little long, meaning it takes some time for the brakes to respond...

Promoted to CPL last friday, its been a long time coming... Been waiting since March, when my promotion shld have been... Luckily they backdated my promotion, so looks like i can enjoy some fantastic backpay in August...

Italy won! I won too! Made a handsome profit of 60 bucks from yesterday's WC Final... Betted on draw after 90 mins, and also Italy to lift the trophy. In the end i broke even nicely, covering all the losses sustained in earlier matches... Still had $2.50 to spare... LOL!

ORD coming soon, 5 months time... Been hearing lotsa ppl wanting to commemorate their completion of NS with an overseas vacation... It sounds really nice, i would love to go holiday also, but frankly there's no way i can afford one...

For me, ORD signifies a busy start to my life... I'm gonna start work when i clear leave, and if possible do 2 jobs at a go, so that i'll have enough cash when uni starts... And hopefully i can oso own a second-hand car asap, been dying to drive since obtaining my licence...

And sadly, Montoya is leaving F1 next yr, he'll be racing in NASCAR...
But still, he's my idol, i will continue to use his name...

Back frm NDP, got myself a day off on Monday, and some serious sunburn... Now i become "chao da" liao... Haha... Anyway wasn't feeling well these few days, had to see a doctor for fever, cough, sore throat and flu... The medicine was good, so powerful that i KOed for 13 hrs straight... LOL!

We've come to the end of a glittering and glamourous race weekend at the Principality of Monaco, Alonso won it, which is cool... Unfortunately Webber couldn't take my beloved Williams team to the podium, due to a blown engine. Controversy surrounds Schumi's incident during qualifying, which caused him to be stripped of his qualifying times.

Personally i'm of the opinion tat he cheated, as u can see from the on-board cameras, tat he purposely approached Rascasse on the wrong line, which in turn made it impossible to negotiate tat corner. You could he he made a mistake, but you wun expect him to, having won in Monaco 5 times before.

The Monaco race always has a special place in my heart, not just bcos of the motor-racing tradition there, but also a personal incident tat happened 2 yrs back, when Juan Pablo Montoya won on a Williams-BMW, shan't elaborate on it, but it kick-started something.

Duty tmrl, quite lucky cos the DO changed for the better last minute, shld be a rather relaxed one tmrl... Hopefully...

Spent a whole load of money this weekend, beginning with yet another platoon cohesion... Watched Da Vinci Code on friday morning, followed by lunch at Marche!!! OMG, it was my first time there and i swear it woll be the last time, the stuff over there are so freaking ex... After tat i lost a match of pool, loser paid, so i ended up losing close to 24 bucks... Sigh...

Met up with some jc mates on sat evening, sort of a farewell to our civics tutor, Mr Cox, cos he's returning to Australian after 8 yrs of teaching in Singapore... Went for some local delights at Esplanade, then played some pool before heading home... Wish Mr Cox all da best for his future endeavours!

Realised i'm rather broke alady, left with like 60 bucks till next pay day... LOL... Dun worry, i'll survive...

Its been quite a while since i last blogged, nothing much to say actually, life is as monotonous as it can be... Work's tough, especially now when duty frequencies go up... Might juz be able to skip some duties soon, cos i'm selected for NDP fireworks team, hopefully things turn out good...

PAD might be turned into hell soon, with several personnel changes including 1WO Tan SM as our CSM, jialat jialat... And from wad i peeped at CO conference's contents, PAD might soon employ a standby-team-stay-in concept, which effectively means the 3 standby-teams rotate to stay in for a week each, this will suck...

Been rather bored lately, due to the others' obsession in DOTA, a game i hate... But it ain't too bad cos i've got alot of F1 races this month, to keep me entertained... Schumacher has won twice in a row now, in briliant fashion... Will he be able to keep the heat up???

Secondly my application to switch course to mechanical engineering has gone thru, juz received the acceptance letter... Last but not least, got my photocard driving license from Traffic Police!!!

suprise suprise, my area's gotta vote for our MPs!!! LOL! really cant believe tat WP would dare to challenge our dear PM in his Ang Mo Kio GRC stronghold... First time driving in the circuit today, quite fun, but tiring also... S-course and crank-course are not too difficult, thanx to special "stickers" on the car door, which acted as perfect reference points for steering... Tiring part was maintaining half-clutch for most of the time, cos the traffic inside the circuit is super duper slow...

Met some crazy ppl today, there was this auntie who dashed across the road juz in front of me, i had to jam the brakes... Also this car who wanted to make a right turn out of a carpark, and juz stopped in my lane cos traffic was heavy on the opposite direction... Stressed... And there was this white Toyota Wish, who was dreaming when the lights turned green, i had to honk him to get him moving... After tat he accelerated off quite fast, think he was rather embarrassed he kena honked by a "L" plate... Haha...

Today's lesson was a whopping 55 bucks, bcos of the circuit fees, juz hope all my money spent is well worth it, and i can pass on my first attempt, on 26 April... Wish me luck!!!

An incident-filled Australian Grand Prix today, a combination of circuit, tyre and set-up factors caused cars to have very low grip levels, thus resulting in a number of spins...

Montoya spun his McLaren at the end of his formation lap, but luckily for him, Fisichella stalled on the grid and Montoya was able to regain his grid position in the additional warm-up lap. Red lights go out, and cars are sprawled over the width of the circuit, fighting for positions to enter the slow 1st corner chicane. 1st corner accident as expected, Klien nudged Massa into a spin, who in turn tore off Rosberg's rear wings and radiators, both Massa and Rosberg retired due to irreparable damage.

2 corners later Trulli went alongside Coulthard, but the Scot simply shut the door on Jarno and forced the Italian to retire. Safety car was deployed to recover the 3 stricken cars on the circuit, and Alonso was given a second chance to pass pole-setter Button, and Fernando did not disappoint. On the restart Alonso used his superior traction out of the penultimate corner to grab the inside line at the 1st corner, taking the lead from Button.

7 laps on Klien broke his front suspension, probably due to the 1st lap contact with Massa, and had a high speed crash into the tyre walls, but luckily he escaped unscathed. We're soon into the 1st pit-stop window, race leader Mark Webber, on an extended 1st stint in his heavily-fueled Williams, grind to a halt, with a gearbox failure. Michael Schumacher pushed too hard and slid off on the last corner, hitting the barricades and laying debris all over the start-finish straight, forcing yet another safety car period.

Button was getting further and further off the pace, by now he has been overtaken by Alonso, Ralf Schumacher, Heidfeld and the 2 McLarens. The safety car periods were of no help to him as Jenson simply could not repeat his speed in qualifying, and a topsy-turvy restart again caused an accident, this time Liuzzi being torpedoed out of the race by Villeneuve, but the latter was able to continue racing.

Chequered Flag waves, and Alonso first one to cross the finish line, joining him on the podium are Raikkonen and Ralf Schumacher. Button's misery is to continue, with the chequred flag in sight, his Honda engine let go, and he had to watch in agony as cars overtook him juz metres away from the finish, Jenson ended up in 10th instead of 5th.

A race of attrition indeed, only 13 out of 22 cars finished the race... Lets hope the teams have better luck in Imola...

Had a rather smooth duty last night, got fence 2 and skipped staff parade... Better still, a turnout happened during my detail, and i wasn't involved... LOL... Took half day off to rest today, even though i kept telling myself not to take... Off days are still very tempting... Anyway there's new hope of off days, might still be able to salvage 1 day of off every month, cos we're PAD, the most xiong depot in SAFAC...

Re-applied for NTU juz now, decided to go straight for mechanical engineering, hope can get accepted... Somehow or rather, i feel there's something wrong with my application, hope its juz me being overly-sensitive, everything's gonna be alrite...

April's coming, 8 more months to ORD!!!

Spent the whole of today analysing the new policy of no more MPOS with immediate effect... Realised that this could be part of a chain-effect of new policies tat could be implemented soon, and my hunch is tat the final part of this chain-reaction is STAYING-IN!!!

It began with a policy of not carrying forward more than 3 days of off, due to many ppl clearing truck-loads of off days when they ORD, which affected manpower for work... Well Hd Ops made it sound acceptable, but it could have been a ploy, a ploy to reduce the number of off days we have at our disposal shld anything drastic happens...

Now we're no longer awarded any off days, which means they're trying to slowly squeeze away the 3 days that we might still possess from previous months, cos as ppl work without rest they eventually get tired and will be tempted to use their remaining off days... Hence i reckon in a few months time everybody will have ZERO off days left...

And now, wads the purpose of taking away all our off days? I believe this is to make sure nobody can escape staying-in when it gets implemented... Simply put, an off day means u can stay out one night when staying-in comes into place, hence with no off u lan lan gotta stay-in...

Why do i predict staying-in in the future, it is due to Ravelin, which requires stay-in... And the top management will definitely wanna make things fair by getting all other depots to stay-in as well, and as our unit moves towards becoming a formation and having a brigade estab, and as requirements of our future job scope, it is likely tat staying-in gets implemented...

And how do we stay-in when there are no bunks in my camp? Simple, as soon as Ravelin gets operational, the logistic branch will shift over to the new camp, and the 2-storey building they vacated is a very "ideal" place for staying-in, juz by doing some renovations... Looking at how they convert the canteen to a spec mess in juz a month, i wun be surprised if the bunks can be ready in something like 2 months...

Alot will depend on when is Ravelin going operational, at this very moment it is not decided yet, but i hope to ORD b4 staying-in comes into force... God bless me...

Its been a rather bad week for me so far, beginning with the not-so-enjoyable soccer session yesterday, shan't elaborate on tat, but i wun be taking it to heart cos its over liao... Anyway there are more things for me to worry about...

Alot of bad things happened in our CO's conference today, firstly my CSM's attempt to take us out from Sat RT programme failed, so i guess i'm stuck to RT till i ORD... Secondly it was also decided that from April onwards, we wun be given anymore performance off days, meaning i no longer have 2 off days per month, which is freaking sian... Nvm, i will award myself off days with MCs... LOL...

Worst still, the current RP shortage in my camp means we have to take over some RP sentry duties, and this inevitably increased my duty frequency next month... Finally kena a weekend duty, the first time in 8 months, and this had to fall on 23th April, which is the San Marino Grand Prix!!! No way i'm gonna miss the race, i will go all out to change it!!!

I hope no more bad stuff gets implemented at my camp, wan it to remain as slack as possible, 8 more months to go... ORD!!!

Haven been blogging for awhile, so i'm here! Watched Malaysian Grand Prix on Sunday, it wasn't as exciting as Bahrain, perhaps due to both my Williams cars retiring early, so i've got nobody to show my support for... Tats why...

It was a Renault 1-2, fantastic work by the French team, it showed their desire to retain the World Championship for another yr... Jenson Button completed the podium by finishing 3rd in his Honda...

One conclusion drawn from the first 2 races is that the new V8 engines are unable to last the required 2 races set by the FIA, many cars either retiring with engine failure, or playing safe by changing a new engine and get a 10-grid position penalty... I've read that its due to the core vibrations of the engines, for a V8 the hardest vibrations occur from 16000RPM onwards, and since the engines are revving at their top speeds most of the times, hence making them vulnerable... It wasn't a problem for V10 engines, as the hard vibrations occer between 12000RPM to 14000RPM, and the engines revs very quickly out of this band... perhaps this explains why the STR-Cosworth team's V10s have been so solid huh...

Will be damn broke for this month, cos have to pay for my fren's b'dae gift, my platoon's cohesion day and the extra fees for driving inside the circuits... Arghhhhhh.... I need my CPL pay, when will i get promoted????

A fairly level playing field this year, with Renault, Ferrari, McLaren and Honda all evenly matched, definitely a more open championship this yr, and not a two-horse race anymore... Alot more overtaking this yr too, credit to the FIA for implementing the regulation changes in chassis designs, resulting in loss of downforce and provides a slight advantage to overtaking cars... We'll look at the individual performances now...

Renault:
Alonso did a perfect race and won it, as simple as that
Fisichella retired with hydraulics failure

Ferrari:
Michael was quick in the first stint, but lost some pace towards the end
Massa was unlucky, spinning off track with some electronics problem and got a stuck tyre in the resulting pit-stop, did well to recover and finish in 9th

McLaren:
Raikkonen was stunningly quick to finish on the podium from last place on the grid, making good use of a one-stop strategy
Montoya dun seem to be his usual self, only doing averagely well in the race, perhaps a lil worried bout his future in the team

Honda:
Jenson did pretty well, finishing in a solid 4th place
Rubens was plagued by a gearbox problem, but he did finish the race

Williams:
Webber did ok, finishing in 6th place, but i expected alot more frm him honestly
Rosberg was amazing, had a bad start and pitted soon to replace his damaged front wing, but came back strongly to finish 7th on his debut, clocking the fastest lap time of the race in the process

BMW:
Heidfeld had a disappointing race, the car simply wasn't fast enough
Villeneuve retired with a blown engine

Toyota:

Oh yea its March now, yet another month closer to my ORD!!! But the best part of this month is that F1 is starting again!!! First race coming up in a week's time, at Bahrain...

Yesterday played mahjong, and for the first time i actually won money, instead of paying "school fees"... My winning percentage is still very low, but i managed to game one "5 tai" and two "4 tai" which converted my losses to winnings... LOL... Best part was my "5 tai" win, it was alady pretty obvious i'm playing "yi se" of "wan zi", yet a guy still threw my final tile of "er wan" for me to win... Hahahahahaha...

After the game ended at abt 3am, there wasn't anymore buses, so my fren sent me home on his bike, it was pretty shiok... But to be honest i was rather scared during the ride... LOL!!!

Lets juz say its been a bad day for me, as i went for my usual EPT every morning at the basketball court, the rest of the guys had field pack inspection, due to the coming Exercise Concorde. I returned to the mess to change up after my EPT, and was horrified to find my fieldpack gone, the entire fieldpack was "stunned", and a couple other fieldpacks were ransacked, apparently by the guys getting their fieldpacks inspected but had missing items...

I went around asking ppl if anyone took my fieldpack for inspection, but got negative responses, then came the cold hard truth... I found my no.4 uniform in the dustbin!!! The thief had apparently decided to keep my fieldpack for good and not returning it to where it was, thus throwing away the only clue to identification of my fieldpack...

After further probing, a name came up, this guy dosen have a fieldpack but his fieldpack inspection was "sui sui", so i confronted him and obviously he denied my claims, and even had the cheek to show me "his" fieldpack, which was empty... The fieldpack further confirms my suspicion, though my stuff were gone, but the sticky stuff left behind by my duck tapes at the exact position was enuf to tell me the fieldpack was mine...

Faced with no other options, i complained to a warrant officer, and he subsequently ordered a 100% locker check of all personnel... Perhaps it scared the shit outta him, juz before the locker check, he admitted to me tat he and another guy had did it, they threw away my uniform and kept the other stuff in a separate locker. The guy pleaded me not to expose their deeds, as they had already been into the SAF Shangri-la Hotel once for smoking inside the explosive areas... I didn't know why i agreed, but nonetheless i did, and pretended to search the stuffs of my frenz while i had alady known where my stuff were kept...

In the end i recovered all my stuff, heaved a sigh of relief... I don't know if i did the right thing, but i honestly cant bear to see fellow army slaves extending their ORD dates, it dosen really matter to me as long as all my stuff can be found... But if he could have admitted when i first confronted him, then things wun get so blown up, we could have settled it ourselves...

Maybe its retribution, a few weeks back i did something really bad, but i really had no other choice but to do it, and u can say i was expecting something to come back to me... It really did! Sigh... made me worried the entire day, but many thanks to my fellow platoon mates for covering my work while i sorted out my fieldpack thingy, felt so bad today for not contributing to a single piece of work...

This weekend was quite stressful, i'm so mentally tired... Shan't elaborate on the actual reasons, to put it simply i juz cannot be at home, will have trouble, so i was like trying my best to go out the entire weekend...

On sat after RT i went for party world with my camp ppl, then ate at Sakae Sushi, and went to labyrinth to play pool... Wa lan, spent super alot of money la, I'm left with ard 100 bucks till the 10th March... LOL!!! (the money includes the fees of 2 driving lessons!!!)

This morning played soccer, with the old guys, long time never play liao so quite fun la... But as usual i sucked, i have lost my touch for soccer la... Sianz... Think i try to slim down first lor... Hahaz! Then this evening went to harbourfront to visit the BIG sale, electronics and computer stuffs, quite uneventful lor, cos its like so crowded and the varieties so limited, the stuffs are not tat cheap actually even though they claimed up to 90% discounts...

Tmrl and wed i'll be on duty, first time doing alternate duties, dunno how shagged i'll be... LOL!!! We'll see la, its better to complete my duties this week, cos Exercise Concorde is likely to be on next week, muz not miss the chance to claim more off days, LOL!!!

Too shagged to blog yesterday, cos i played overnight mahjong on saturday, woke up at 2pm on sunday for my driving lesson, had dinner and went back to sleep soon after...

Again i lost money in mahjong, no choice since i'm beginner, but i'm starting to get the hang of the game, shld play much better next time... As for my driving, did 3 test routes yesterday, and i muz conclude that route 1 is the easiest of the lot... And i muz comment that ubi certainly has alot of slopy grounds, muz always maintain half clutch to prevent roll-back... Also saw the infamous big big yellow box b4 a traffic light tat TYS mentioned, its a really tricky junction, gotta observe the traffic light from a long distance away, otherwise confirm kena trapped inside yellow box if the lights turn red...

There's gonna be RT every single day now, super duper sian... Which makes me think tat it might juz be about time to make the trip down to Maju Camp and start the long hard process of downgrading my PES status to get outta all this shit... LOL!!! We'll see how...

I learnt parallel parking yesterday, quite easy but the distance is very hard to gauge, cos the views are very deceiving... the front poles look nearer than they actually are, while the back poles look further than they actually are, which caused me to hit a rear pole...

Personally i feel that my low-speed control still sucks, and i have a tendency of over-steering while making right-turns, not alot la and i can steer back lor... Other than that the rest shld be test-standard liao... LOL!

After that met up with my campmates for pool, one of them is national u-21 8-ball champion... I won him in my 9-ball game, cos he scratched and left me with a easy 6-9 combination!!! But 8-ball he really damn "shen"... I played him 3 times, lost by 3 balls, 2 balls and 1 ball respectively... He played with my other weaker frenz with handicaps like left hand only, or taking off his glasses, but still thrashed them... haha...

After tat went to PS for dinner, finally tried the "grilled chicken set" DW was always talking about, its really nice, no wonder DW is so obsessed... Then watched a movie, Fun with Dick and Jane, really funny show, cannot stop laughing at all... Also met jason mason at the arcade... LOL!!!

Well to summarise my CNY long weekend, the following is wad i did...

Friday was the base celebration, ate steamboat and then went home for some 'duty rest', at night chiong mahjong at my fren's place till the next morning...

Sat morning reached home very shagged, so sleep until 3pm liddat... wake up and ate steamboat reunion dinner with my parents, then juz slack all the way until 12 midnite, say "Happy New Year!!!", then its back to my bed till the next day...

Sunday woke up at 12 noon, played some NFS Most Wanted, then proceeded to my uncle's place to "bai nian".... Played Dai Di with my cousins there, then i dunno how play until my elbow kana abrasion on smooth floor tiles, like those u get during BIC... Then went home ard 11pm, watched some TV and slept...

Monday morning was spent playing NFS Most Wanted again, then afternoon jio Alvin play pool, won 11-9... YEAH! Then, juz as i was ready to go home, my fren jio me play mahjong again... This time we play until next morning 5am onli, then i had to walk home cos got no bus yet... Reached home collapsed on my bed again...

Tuesday was the most wasted day, woke up at 3pm again, then soon after left for Marina Bay steamboat with my extended family, reached home only now and preparing to go back to work tmrl, and duty tmrl nite... Sian...

Well if u realised i ate alot of steamboat these few days, now scared of steamboat liao... Will be abstaining from steamboat for at least 1 month...

Yesterday's base steamboat session was crap la, the food sucks to the max man... And the organiser still had the cheek to say it costs 25 bucks per pax! After that, PAD had the honour of falling out first as we did all the "sai kang", i was on the bus down Rifle Range Road when in front kena accident. A 2SG's Hyundai Getz smashed into an oncoming vehicle, and guess wad? The vehicle is a police patrol car!!! LOL... Wad a way to start the New Year... For those who are interested, the Getz's car plate number is 0362, and the police car number is 4315...

Went home and took a nap, then at night went to play mahjong with my campmates, played until this morning... Wasn't a very lucky day, i lost ard 10 bucks, sian... But then no choice la, they all very good players, i only beginner... Then now doing nothing until my home steamboat session!!! Confirm much nicer than yesterday's one... Haha!!!

Spent the whole day slacking, watching "She Diao Ying Xiong Juan" and playing NFS Most Wanted... Made alot of progress today, now i've risen to #5 in the blacklist 15, my garage now holds 7 cars... 2 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions, a Mazda RX-8, Mercedes CLK, Porsche Cayenne GT, Corvette C6 and a Lamborghini Gallardo!!!

Juz remembered i had this bad dream yesterday, dreamt tat a big construction crane fell on some Chinatown shophouses, many ppl trapped inside the rubble... Bad feeling... Cos my dreams usually come true, but i hope this one dosen...

I am on off today, taking a break before my duty tmrl... Was very tired the past few days, due to severe lack of sleep... K.O.ed all the way to and fro camp for both monday and tuesday... LOL...

Next month duty forecast is out, everyone was anxious to know if they kana the big date... Feb 14, which is Valentine's Day... Well i din kana, but i would rather i did... Cos those who kana this day will get 1 duty less, and since this day dosen mean much to me, it certainly wouldn't hurt for me to kana... Sigh, but i got kana "chu si", actually wanted to take off to have long long weekend, but now cannot liao... Sian...

Sometimes i wonder wad issit like to go on a date, cos i've never been on one before... It must feel great i think...

Phew! Its been a tiring weekend for me, was out the whole day yesterday, literally... Woke up at 6am, went for RT in camp, then went home and took a quick shower, rushed down to hougang for k lunch, then play WC at kovan till 5pm liddat, went queensway shopping for my shoes, then came back to hougang for "zi cha" supper, went kkk hse for epl, reached home at 12.45am!!!

Then this morning woke up at 8.30am for soccer, super tiring la cos the weather damn hot, but it was quite fun today... Then went home for "branch", took a lil break and went for driving lesson... Learnt vertical parking today, damn sian la... The instructor made me practise 10 over times, i park until my neck pain, cos gotta turn ard and look... Parking with poles is freaking easy la, but honestly its useless, as if we go outside got poles for us to park... Shld make it harder during learning, like the method my uncle taught me, use the car lot marking as turning point, not poles... Liddat more practical wad rite???

Oh well in conjuction with DW's reply on his blog, i'm gonna state it clear tat u have misunderstood me... Well the onli i wasn't happy abt u was u expecting me to pay, nothing else, all those allegations in my previous entry were directed at others, so dun get me wrong, i have no intention of criticising u for every thing...

And regarding the bball thing, i dun think u got my point at all... Lets put it this way, i wouldn't say "Hey! Lets go play bball!"... Everytime i play is bcos the rest jio me one, and since they turned up when i wanted them to play soccer, so i wouldn't wanna disappoint them by not going, and hence causing them to have insufficient personnel to play... Well if u think i have played so much at it justifies me chipping in for the bball, then i shan't play anymore in the future, i wun touch the ball tat i din pay for, will tat be ok???

And regarding the "malign" thingy, i apologise for using such a strong word... I juz thought u could have told me ur views face to face, and not simply blogging it... It juz made me feel tat u wanna whole world to know tat i play ball but dun pay for it, dun u noe tat can make ppl misunderstand me??? U could talk to me face to face, and tat i can explain clearly to u my reasons for not wanting to chip in...

On the other hand i appreciate the fact tat u've been a fantastic fren, but u shld communicate with us more... By keeping quiet throughout the day, then ranting all over in ur blog after tat, gives ppl the feeling of u backstabbing, anything unhappy juz say, i'm sure we can sort things out... Anyway i think we as men shouldn't be so "gei gao", so lets juz put a full stop to all these argument on our blogs, i sure we've practiced enuf so far to enter a debating competition, which i have no intention to doing...

Nua at home today, can consider to have wasted my off... Sigh, din wanna take off actually, but my boss made me clear, so "lan lan" lor...

And since i had alot of time today, i tidied up my room... Its been freaking messy for the past yr, i spent the entire afternoon getting rid of all the useless stuff and rearranging my stuff, and now my room looks alot cleaner, alot more refreshing to the eye... Found some of my old photographs in the process, my primary sch class photos and my BMT photos, brought back some good memories, i'm rather amused how cute i looked in primary sch... LOL!

Played NFS Most Wanted after tat, its getting harder and harder with each level, esp the police pursuits, now i always get busted when my bounty is damn high... I'm becoming more and more "dulan", but i'll find a way to complete this game... Confirm!!!

And after searching for a long long long times, i've finally found the sound i wanted so much... It's called "Moment", the 2nd "cha qu" for the drama Winter Sonata... It's a really nice song, with some dramatic parts... Those interested pls lemme know, i send to u!!!

I'm feeling rather pissed after reading DW's blog abt me not chipping in for the bball... HEY! Get this clear ok? Why shld i pay for the bball when i dun really play the game??? My stance is the same as Alvin, we dun like to play bball, but we play to make up the numbers for u guys... Since u can understand why Alvin dun wanna play, then why cant u understand why i'm not paying???

If u think i'm playing alot of bball, then fine lor, next time dun jio me play la... I juz find this world very unfair to me... I'm expected to do alot of things to please ppl... Like bball, u expect me to pay bcos i play, i din choose the buy the ball in the first place, we could have carried on with the old "furry" ball... My stand is, since u guys want the ball, then u guys will pay for it, as simple as tat... U cant expect everyone who plays with the ball to chip in rite??? If u wanna count playing time, dun u think Caleb and Alvin Lim play bball more than me, then why dun u ask them to chip in oso???

Then sat at mac u guys expect me to serve the 4 of u all, by queuing up and buying 5 persons' share... C'mon la, u guys muz "zi dong" rite? How can u guys treat me like ur servant, the problem is u guys always expect me to buy for u all, and u guys seldom return the favour... It's not as if i minded buying for u all, if i dun feel as if i've been taken advantage of... Its like every single time it happens tat all of u all will wan me to be the person serving all the rest...

Another thing is the basketball game... I know i'm a bad player, but cant i even try sometimes??? If i dun try how would i improve??? U guys always KP me when i go for the basket myself, whilst some of u guys also "ying chuang" and ended up losing the ball, but nobody KP u all how... Why??? Do u guys possess certain tickets of exemption of KP, and i'm the onli one that gets KP... Real teammates dun KP each other, they shld encourage each other isn't it... Think of it another way, do u think i meant to purposely give the ball away, dun u realise i oo wanna contribute to my team in terms of offensive play, and not juz stand under the ring as a human barricade during defense, and then machiam watch bball match liddat under the ring for everything else???

Ok, JK, i'm sorry i shouted at u tat day, cos i was really pissed off, but i juz hope all of u can change ur attitude towards me... I dun think u guys really treat me as a true fren, true frens dun hurt each other, dun KP each other, dun "suan" each other, dun malign each other in their blogs... Drove again todae, was a good session, learnt overtaking and lane change... Lane Change is fun!!! Esp when u find one hole between 2 cars and juz slot ur car in... LOL!!!

Yesterday went shopping at Bugis, wif the gang... All of em' bought some stuff, i din, cos there ain't anything tat appeals to me, besides i cant fit in most of the clothes... Haha... Kl said one of the pink shirts suits me, i think it looks ok too, but the price tag of 23 bucks put me off... I wun have cash to spare till i pass my driving, otherwise most of my pay will go to driving lessons... Have to save up!!!

At nite went to KKK's hse to watch EPL, and saw City triumph in the Manchester derby!!! Me and KKK were delighted, but alvin seem really sad... Then rush home and caught my beloved Arsenal winning 7-0!!! My captain Henry has 3 goals and 2 assists... haha... ORGAS!!!

Its once again been proven i'm a damn suay person... U see, i got duty on monday and thursday, and as u all noe, its been raining cats and dogs the entire week... And guess wad, on both days i had duty, it din even rain a single drop, and i have to continue prowling... GRRRRR!!!

Anyway my plot of saving up my offs have been uncovered by my boss, so as a result i have been forced to clear my offs, will be on off all the way till tues... Sad lei... Liddat ORD tat time cannot "ba long long" liao...

Juz watched "super sunday", where A-ya conquered mount fuji... It reminded me of the time when i was climbing mt ophir... Though i did not conquer it, it certainly gave me very good memories... Though it was tough, i did not regret a single bit going for the climbing trip... Perhaps we shld try again? How bout mt fuji? It would certainly make a fantastic pre-uni vacation!!!

It's been raining since i woke up today, it probably rained thru' the entire of last night too, an extremely cold day, prefect conditions for watching "Winter Sonata"... LOL...

Was supposed to play soccer this morning, but obviously the inclement weather prevented us from doing so... Alvin and KL suggested some plans, but i wasn't too keen on em', perhaps juz due to the cooling weather, it makes one feels like nua-ing at home... Coupled by the fact tat i'm on duty tmrl, i din go out with them eventually... Well sorry to Alvin and KL, i noe u guys wanna enjoy urselves fully before booking in, but seriously there wasn't much to do in this kinda weather...

Played NFS Most Wanted the entire afternoon, its definitely a very nice game, as recommended by TYS... Defeated 5 racers from the blacklist15, 10 more to go and many more cars to unlock... So far i own 5 cars... Chevrolet Cobalt SS, Toyota Supra, Mazda RX-8, Mitsubishi Eclipse and my fav. car, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII... Most of my cars are won from my opponents, i actually won a Lexus IS300 as well, but sold it cos i've got too many cars... LOL...

Gotta prepare for duty tmrl, lets hope it rains the whole day tmrl too, then i wun have to prowl... But i doubt so la, i've never been lucky in life...

Today was my 8th driving lesson, learnt to negotiate right turns, not very zai yet, still need alot more practice... Overall it was not bad, except my instructor was late for 20 minutes!!! KNN, waited damn long for him, told me he reaching in 2 mins when i called him, in the end onli turns up 10 min later...

On off today, so played FM2005 cos got nothing to do... I dunno whether its a bug or glitch or wadeva, but the opposition keeper always hit top form against me... Every match tat i played, the opposition goalkeeper would be man of the match... KNN! And sometimes they really so pro tat no matter how many shots i pump in, i wouldn't score at all... its quite normal to see something like me having 20+ shots on target, but end up drawing the match 0-0... Damn sian, dun wanna play this game liao...

Now oso watching "Winter Sonata", its quite nice, quite romantic, a typical Korean drama with the typical Korean drama storyline.. LOL... But the song is very nice, "My Memory" sang but a Korean guy, yet to find out who is he... I am desperate to find the lyrics to tat song, lyrics with "hanyu pinyin" so tat i can sing, haha... Anyone have???

This exercise will be held this Sunday, 8 Jan 2006, at City Hall, Raffles Place, Dhoby Ghaut and Toa Payoh MRT stations, between 6am to 9am... So for those who dun wanna get into the chaotic mess of thunderflashes, flashbangs and blanks firing, pls avoid these places...

Went singing today, think its quite not worth it cos too many ppl liao, then today's menu oso not nice...

I have this little dilemma, my mum's been pushing me to go shop for new clothes cos Chinese New Year is coming... But problem is i dun wanna buy clothes now cos i'm planning to slim down, but then if i dun buy then New Year i got nothing new to wear, if i buy and if a slim down(hopefully), then wouldn't the clothes be wasted???

Happy New Year! Its 2006! Fantastic yr for me, bcos got World Cup and most importantly, 2006 is my ORD yr! One more step closer to my biggest dream!

Juz came back from guard duty last nite, freaking suay, drew fence 1 yet again... (fence 1 has 1 extra prowl)... Then got a stoopid turn-out, which came during my preciously little rest time!!! Slept less than 4 hrs last nite lor, freaking shagged!

Then took day off, rushed home for driving lesson #7, was trying very hard not to fall asleep lor... But surprisingly, todae turned out to be my best performance so far, ZERO engine stalls todae!!! Horray!!! My instructor commented i drove very well todae, onli sometimes never check blindspot nia... Lol...

Very tired now, gonna sleep liao... haha...

Soccer this morning was cancelled due to rain, wad disappointment... So in the afternoon we met up at kovan for some World Combat, pool and bowling... World Combat was not bad, i achieved another personal highest rank of Captain before i was killed... Bowling was quite fun too, long time never play liao, i was considered the winner among me, alvin and tys, cos i finished 1st, 2nd and 2nd in 3 games... In formula one points this translates to 26 points, compared to tys' 24 pts and alvin's 22 pts... LOL!

After tat had dinner at one of the coffeeshops there, the western food was both nice and cheap relatively, chicken chop with rice for onli 4 bucks!!! Then we decided to play nite soccer, went to to have a quick change of attire... And since there were onli 4 of us, we decided the play a slightly different game, where a goal wasn't putting the ball into the net, but striking any part of the woodwork... Haha... It was damn hard to score la, open goal oso "pa jiao", in the end i onli scored once, but my "pong" sound was definitely the loudest of all the hits! haha...

Dunno wads coming up tmrl, ktv was all planned and ready to go, until DW pang sei again, now i dunno whether its still on... Sigh...

Todae was one of the worst Christmas Eve in my life, nua-ing at home seems to be a genuine possibility, until i found kkk who oso had nowhere to go... So both of us chiong arcade at kovan, then somehow we ended up in hougang central... Received this call from alvin, he oso damn sian at home, and so he joined us too...

It was kinda a step back for my driving today, forgotten my well-practised moving off from the previous lesson, stalled a number of times... Well at least my braking and left-turns are more or less up to standard liao, but still quite disappointed by myself... The only excuse i can give is maybe the wet weather put me off, having the wipers flash across once every few seconds...

On off today, but mostly nua at home... Juz realised the "射雕英雄传" VCD i'm watching now was filmed in 1983!!! Think the "黄榕" in this show is very cute, but got a shock when i tried to find out more abt her on the net... She passed away 20 yrs ago, committed suicide by gas poisoning, reason being she offended some big shot, and got gang-raped by some gangsters... So sad... Sigh...

5 guys from my camp will ORD tmrl, feel happy for them, but at the same time feel frustrated tat i still have 1 more yr to go... It's really damn sian lor... Hope time passes very quickly...

Dunno y, my dreams are always dramatic, very "happening", though i cant really remember every single detail when i wake up... Sometimes i rather stay in my dream, much more adventurous than my real life, which is like monotonous... Perhaps its bcos i can do alot of things i cant do in real life, when i dream...

Finally cut my hair todae, its been growing longer and longer tat i look more like NSmen, not NSF, lol... The haircut is not tat fantastic, but at least i think it looks neater now...

Yesterday's RT was xiong, so xiong tat i'm still aching all over right now... Met up with the rest to shop for the Christmas gift at TM, walked ard alot but still undecided on wad to buy... In the end we went to play arcade first, after tat i went to buy this 2006 diary as my gift...

Steamboat was almost cancelled bcos of rain, but luckily the skies cleared fast enuf for us to proceed according to plan... Dw drove me, jk and kl there, plus we picked up yvonne along the way in tampines... Well the food wasn't tat great, cos we went to Chong Pang, but it was fun as most odacians were there... The highlight of the day was the gift exchange, guess who got my diary??? its KL!!! lol... I myself got Shi Min's towel, but dun think its big enuf for me la... haha... Nvm, i'll not use it then, keep it as a souvenir...

Went to chiong another rd of World Combat after dinner, i reached my personal highest rank of LTA, after some good teamwork with DW... LOL, i noe i suck, but i still feel tat the game is quite fun... After tat we drove ard to J8, where the rest of the folks were chatting over some coffee... Once again DW went holan, but this time the route presented itself, and we realised we were on the right way of travel...

First time drinking at coffee bean, din noe wad's nice, so i juz ordered ice blended mocha, it was nice, but at $6 i felt some heartpain... Eventually we went back at 2 plus, ZY sent me home... Was so tired i quickly fell asleep, and woke up late for todae's soccer... We went planning to go out again in the afternoon, but after some conflictions, and a pang sei by a certain officer led to us all rotting at home... Not tat i mind tat, i was still tired from yesterday, and took a nap till now... SHIOK!!!

I get pressured into making mistakes easily... It happened to me twice in 2 days...

Firstly, i missed an easy match winning shot while playing pool with TYS, i was leading 4-2 then in a race to 5... In the end, TYS won the game 5-4, i punched the table for $7 bucks... Kao!

Secondly, i stalled my car in a busy paya lebar junction today while driving, resulting in honks from the lorry right behind me... Guess i was too anxious to get moving in heavy traffic, resulting in me releasing the clutch too early... Sigh...

Lady luck dosen help me either, she has gone to some lucky chap in Woodlands, who was the SOLE winner of a $2.8 million jackpot in today's Toto...

Had driving this morning, learnt something called "directional change", still dun really understand the point of learning this, cos its essentially 3-pt turn cum vertical parking combined into one... Maybe it is to perfect my turning techniques, cos after this particular training i realised my turns have become much smoother, i no longer make wide turns... :)

Overall i thought i did well, onli stalled once, tat happened the moment i moved off after taking over the car, lol... After tat i was able to control the clutch better, so much so tat i out-accelerated a taxi while moving off from a traffic junction... Haha... Drove on roads tat had heavier traffic todae, had to weave in and out of lanes quite often, sometimes even on my own initiative, when i thot the car in front was too slow for me... Guess my biggest problem now is keeping to the speed limit, cos i'm supposed to go onli 50km/h... But no matter how lightly i step on the accelerator it always go beyond 60km/h, sian half...

My instructor mentioned i will be completing the syllabus in 3-4 lessons time, which i think is rubbish, cos i still have alot to learn... Parking, lane changing, s-course, crank-course and many many more... I'm juz hoping to pass the practical test 1st time round, defying the myth of 1st-test-fail ubi driving centre...

ODAC gathering coming up this sat, steamboat at marina bay, everyone has to bring a present to exchange, guess its bcos Christmas is coming... I still dunno wad to buy, but not to worry, i have a whole week to decide and to shop for the gift, cos i'm on leave!!! Super shiok to be at home instead of camp, but nonetheless very bored as well, cos i'm all alone... Waiting for wed, when tys begins his leave, then we can go out liao... Haha... I wanna watch King Kong!!!

Attended KKK's commissioning parade todae, i muz say its pretty nice... All the big shots were there, COA, Teo CH and even president Nathan, guess the OCTs felt very honoured indeed, esp the one and only lucky chap that the president spoke to during his parade inspection...

Congrats to KKK and JR, who finally got their 2LT ranks, all their efforts had paid off, and i wish them all da best for their future postings, hopefully as slack as possible, lol... Well muz thank DW todae for fetching us ard, though we went holan quite a number of times but i knew it wasn't ur fault... Felt bad that we used up 1/4 tank of his petrol todae, i oso dunno how to compensate him... I can onli promise tat i will definitely fetch u guys ard in the future, when i have a car... Dunno when would that be, but i would certainly want it to happen asap...

Soccer tmrl with the 2 newly commissioned officers, hopefully it will be fun... I'm beginning to regain my interest in this sport, perhaps due to the enthusiasm of my campmates whom i always play with... Will be on leave for the whole of next week, not much plans actually, everyone's busy with things so i'll most prob be rotting at home... Well anyone who wans to jio me out pls feel free... LOL...

Todae is a very special day in my life... Exactly 1 yr ago on this day, i enlisted for NS... I can still remember the vivid details of tat very day...

i woke up at 8.30am, ate my final civi breakfast of vegetarian bee hoon, and headed for the bus stop... Took bus 88 to pasir ris, boarded the shuttle bus to the ferry terminal, and took a window seat on the fastcraft... Alot of things went thru my mind tat time, feeling very jittery... Finally i arrived in Tekong at 11.30am...

Was immediately separated from my parents upon setting foot on the island, being ushered to different places... Exchanged my pink ic for the green 11B, then headed to take the oath, met up with my parents again during lunch... The food was not bad, but i juz din have the appetite, so i threw away most of the food...

Finally it was time for my parents to leave Tekong, i can tell u tat moment is the worst feeling u will ever have, feeling left alone in this sickening island... After they left, we were separated into the various companies and marched to our bunks, on the way collected the super duper heavy duffel bag and field pack... It was such a struggle bringing all my stuffs up to platoon 4 on the 5th level, where i belong to...

Really felt homesick during the first few days, din have any appetite for cookhse food at all, was feeling moody whole day, but slowly i adjusted and it began to feel alrite...

Haha... Have alot of memories of that significant day, but the arrival of this date also means another event, I'm now a second-yr soldier, and 1 YEAR TO ORD!!!!!!!!!

This morning had driving again, it was much better than last time round, seem to have gotten the hang of the car alady... Still managed to stall a number of times, but most of the time i was able to move off extremely smoothly, even on sloping roads, sense of achievement!

KL starting his course todae, and from wad he mentioned in his sms, the course seem to suck... Well its bad enuf tat he's gotta stay in for the course, its esp difficult after staying out for so long, i can imagine tat feeling really sucks, juz putting myself in his shoes... It feels like going thru enlistment again, sigh... Well talking abt enlistment i've juz realised i'm edging very near to my 1 yr anniversary in the army... Its been a long tough yr, but i've still got 1 more yr to go, must tahan!

And talking abt staying in, it might happen to me as well... Well Ravelin is opening soon, manpower would be needed there, heard they stay in, so hopefully they dun post me there... Even if i dun get posted there, the entire unit might be converted to stay-in to ensure "fairness", so nothing can be confirmed yet, the future is still uncertain... Hopefully they'll take their time to make the conversion, which i feel is inevitable, and by tat time i would have ORDed!!!

Was juz reading up my old blog entries during my A level mugging and BMT period, i realised i seem to have lost the direction i set out at the start of this yr, how come??? DW mentioned i slimmed down alot after BMT, but have since put the weight back on... Shit!! I must must must must must slim down!!!

Sigh, this month really broke liao, totally dry... After a weekend filled with pool, i'm left with 40 bucks, of which 33 will go to driving tmrl... Left with 7 bucks for one more week till my next payday on friday, hopefully i'll get my marksman money plus all the rank backpay...

My block leave will be coming soon, from 10th to 19th Dec, planning to use the time to go for as many driving lessons as possible... Been thinking alot abt the future lately, still deciding whether to stay in or out during uni... Both have their pros and cons, both need to spend alot of money... If i do stay out, i would definitely buy a car, cos its senseless to spend 2 hrs travelling to and fro everyday... But again its costs alot to maintain a car, to stay in would be cheaper, but it somehow means back to army life, which is freaking sian...

Then after uni, wad am i gonna be??? Really dun have a fixed target of wad profession to be in, juz wanna earns loads of money, to give my family a good life, dun wan my future kids to ever worry abt money... Sigh, its gonna be hard, but i'll try...

Been pondering over it recently, i wanna buy a second-hand car after i ORD, can drive to work and study at NTU, which is so freaking far... But considering all the expenses, buying a second-hand car is really not worth the money...

Firstly, second-hand cars consume alot of fuel, estimated petrol expenses per month is ard 400bucks... Plus road tax for old cars are freaking ex, 1000 per yr, which comes up to ard 90 bucks per month... Also to be considered are parking fees, car servicing and even summons, including the monthly instalment for the car, will come up to ard 900 bucks per month lor...

Kao, its so freaking ex to own a car in Singapore, even a second-hand car... To be able to afford a car, i'll have to earn more than 1.5K per month while studying juz to sustain, sigh... really impossible... But my desire to own a car asap is there, wad shld i do??? God pls help me, let me strike Toto or something lei... haha...

Yesterday went to parkway for pool in the evening, first time all of us playing together for a long long time... Got me, jk, kl, dw, tys and alvin... Tys and Dw drove there, so after pool we were discussing wad to do, since transportation wasn't a problem anymore with 2 cars available to us... We ended up playing CS in Katong, not bad la, long time never play liao, so quite fun...

After tat we drove to a coffeeshop near tys's place for roti prata supper, but i was sick and did not eat much, juz kapo half a piece from alvin, who was sick too... LOL... Then tys offered to drive us back to hougang area, and the reluctant DW was somehow dragged in, and so again both cars went all the way to hougang and dropped the 4 of us there...

Quite an emotional day actually, i'm thinking this may be a prelude of wad is to come from all of us... One day, i would like to see all 6 of us go out again, plus kkk, with all of us driving our own cars... Juz imagine 7 cars travelling together on the road, machiam like convoy movement... LOL... But if this really happens, it would mean tat we all have attained some level of success in our careers, wadeva we're doing, and i truly believe we will see such a day...

The Integra Type-R DC5 is a limited edition model aimed purely at the most serious street racers. The new engine series DOHC i-VTEC of Honda is an intelligent engine system which raises torque, mpg, and releases low emission exhaust gas. Its K20A type-R engine combines the high-rev intake/exhaust valve timing and lift variability of VTEC technology with VTC(variable timing control) to achieve a maximum power output of 220PS. Short single-passage isometric intake manifold ensures excellent intake inertia even at high engine speeds.

Connecting rods and a high-rigidity crankshaft are fashioned from high-strength materials.
A super-light flywheel made of chrome-molybdenum steel gives the Type R a smoother power transition between the K20A engine and the Type-R close-ratio 6-speed transmission. The lightened flywheel improves both the feel and performance of the engine. It gives an instant response at any sudden throttle, when acceleration is demanded at any time as driver steps on the metal pedal. The DC5 adapts multi-corn synchronization, using triple corn for 1st and 2nd gear and double corn for 3rd to 6th gears. This decreases the shift load when changing gears, and pleasant operation can be enjoyed with a crunching sound.

The DC5 is equipped with a new exhaust muffler that is constructed of variable pipes. The design can change silence priority by leading exhaust gas flow to variable paths with a silencer. At a low rpm region, silence priority becomes first. Sound is reduced and air current is reduced at the same time. As engine speed reaches near the 5,000 rpm, higher exhaust gas output becomes the priority that desires less back pressure. This design bumps up an extra 4 hp and 0.8 kg-m, than its predecessor model.

Standard on the DC5 is the Brembo 4-port brake system for the front. Brembo is well-known for its performance braking systems for track racing and widely used on standard exotic sports car. For a true racing experience for the driver, the DC5 also comes with Recaro bucket seats, leather-wrapped Momo steering wheel, and aluminium gear stick knob, pedal pads, foot rest.

Haven booked my TP, cos no good timings available... Sigh, i'm really concerned at my poor driving, why??? why keep stalling??? Stall until i dulan lor... ARGHHHHHHHHH!!!

Passed my Final Theory todae, but it was a big big scare... My test was at 9.15am, so i left home at 8.15, thinking 45 mins was enuf for me to travel there from sengkang, but i was dead wrong... TPE got car buang, traffic jam like siao, reach seletar camp there alady 9am liao, then i waited till the bus turned into the main road, i alighted and tried to get a cab to chiong there with like 10 mins left!!!

Then KKN, i waited 25 mins and still no empty cab in sight, i see the time is like 9.30am liao, test confirm gone liao, they wun let me take le... So i sian sian take bus there liao, going to book another date for my FTT... I reached SSDC at 9.45am, i thought i shld juz try to persuade the examiners to let me take the test, and it succeeded, though by the time i started i had less than 15 mins left...

i chiong all 50 qns in less than 10 mins, then submitted the ans, and i passed... Think the examiner oso quite stunned, cos he thot wif so lil time left i confirm cannot make it, he even told me to juz try my best, and i completed it in record time and passed... LOL... In a way i muz thank him too, he could have been strict with the regulations and not allowed me to take the test...

Wah i dun think any one can understand my frustration while waiting for cab, totally no empty cabs in sight lor, the onli one tat stopped dun wanna take me to SSDC, cos he going to Yishun... TMD!!! I'm like 5 mins away from SSDC onli lor, he oso dun help... Sigh...

Issit a curse of SSDC for me??? For all da times i'm going there, always rushing for time... First time was to book BTT, made jk and kl waited 15 mins for me, second time went for my BTT, rush until juz nice made it on time... Third time go apply PDL, also rushing like mad cos playing pool after tat... Then this time i nearly lost 30 dollars, cos to book the test again is $6, then without FTT, my TP will be very likely be delayed beyond my PDL license, to renew is another $25...

Went singing at party world yesterday, using the $15 off voucher, but it still came up to ard 12 bucks per person in the end... Not really worth it, cos they dun have alot of chinese songs also, but nevertheless they gave us another voucher, which is free 4-hr room charges, but have to buy their drinks which is priced at a whopping $7.50 for a glass of ice lemon tea, tats the cheapest drink available by the way...

After tat we walked ard abit then played arcade at dhoby ghaut mrt there, spent quite alot of money, a lil too much for me, cos i still have to pay for my driving lessons this friday, bearing i mind tat my pay has to last until the next pay day, which is like 3 weeks away?

Din go for soccer this morning, again bcos i'm too shagged from RT yest... 100 push-ups, 100 crunches, 100 jumping jacks, 100 half squats, 3 sets of 6 pull-ups plus a 2.4km run... Totally drained of my energy, morning wake up whole body aching, very jialat...

Was rather lucky tat i din place any bets yest, cos i would have lost all of em... Think i'll buy a few quick-picks for the coming Toto, the jackpot is 2.8 million dollars... Wow, juz think of wad i can do with tat kind of money, can buy 20 Evos... LOL...

Aniway my luck is bad, but no harm trying, its the typical Singaporean dream!!!

The Evolution IX has an all new MIVEC engine with a new larger turbo with magnesium intake housing (option on GSR) designed to further improve engine response. The MIVEC system helps the 16-valve 4G63 engine liberate more power at higher revs and more torque at lower revs, with peak torque of 400Nm @ 3000rpm and maximum power of 206kW (280hp) @ 6500rpm.

The GSR has a full time electronically controlled and integrated drive line and suspension system that includes:

an active centre differential that adjusts according to road surface conditions
an active yaw control that improves cornering performance by transferring torque between the rear wheels

Today was my first practical driving lesson, was indeed very fun, i like driving more and more... My car was a Toyota Corolla 1.5M, and honestly it was a rather easy car to drive... The instructor drove me to a ulu part of Sengkang, then allowed me on the wheel, slowly teaching me how to move off in gear 1... Made mistakes as expected, but overall it was a fulfilling session, my instructor letting me go into 4th gear and cruise at 70km/h for my very first time driving a car!!!

Here are some of my mistakes:
1) Letting go of clutch pedal too quickly, resulting in 5 engine stalls, and numerous times of car jerking when engaging second gear...
2) Failure to depress clutch pedal fully when changing gear (esp gear 3, i dunno why oso, haha...)
3) Failure to apply brakes while stationary (dun think the instructor noticed this... lol...)
4) Tendency to grab inside of steering wheel when doing U-turns

My 1.5hr lesson cost me 33 bucks, abit of heart pain, but for my license its worth it... Plus i most prob stick wif this instructor, meaning my TP will be at Ubi!!! Abit stressed but the instructor told me not worry abt heavy traffic, cos private students deal wif traffic all the time they are learning... At the end my instructor commented that i drove quite well, but too nervous, he say muz relac more...

Think i'll learn from DW, record down my driving spendings in my blog to keep track of how much money i've spent...

This morning was supposed to play soccer, but i decided not to go last minute, cos my legs were so sore that i had problems even walking... All bcos yesterday i had RT in the morning, then played soccer in the evening, totally shagged out...

Then afternoon i went beach rd to sew on my LCP rank and marksmanship badge, quite dulan lor cos the auntie keep on delaying my turn, KNN... In the end she charged me 20 bucks for sewing 4 uniforms... Siao lor where got so ex one, e-mart sells the ranks at 40 cents lor, KNN i confirm kena chopped liao lor... Sian...

Juz now went to compass point, saw a M1 offer which i may take... Nokia 6030 at $o, juz sign a 2 yr contract, which i feel is a fantastic offer, cos i dun intend to change my line at all, since i now "lao jiao" customer wif this plan and the bill has dropped to almost 50% of its original cost... Lol... So its like they're giving me a free phone!!!

Driving for the first time ever in my life tmrl (barring illegally driving forklifts at camp), hopefully the instructor would be nice and patient, cos i think i'm stupid... Pray i dun stall too many times tmrl... Haha...

Mazda has chosen to be bold with its design of the RX-8. The hood is low and the nose leans forward. The cabin is unusually long because it has two small doors behind the main doors. They are handy for rear passengers to get on and off without having to adjust the front seats. There are also no centre posts to obstruct both the rear front and rear passengers.

At the heart of the RX-8 is the Renesis rotary engine. Although it displaces only 1.3 liters, it cranks out an impressive 207 horsepower. The RX-8 has 4-wheel ABS with EBD that provide ample stopping power, giving drivers the full benefit of the car's dynamic sports car capabilities. Getting really sick and tired of NS life... WHY??? why muz we serve??? i really envy the gers, can go straight to uni, no need to waste 2 good yrs in the army... By the time i graduate from NTU, i would be close to 25 liao, which is like freakin old!!!

Really think they shld change the NS system to cater to prospective uni students... Perhaps we shld juz serve a 3-month or 6-month BMT and then fuck off... Reservist can be conducted to refresh our skills... For the rest, etc ITE students, they can afford to serve the full 2 yrs cos honestly, they dun really have a future outside...

Sigh... 7 Dec 2006 seems so far away...

I dunno why i'm still not asleep now at 2am, tats so unlike me... Aniway since i'm here i'll blog a lil bout my past week...

Tuesday went back to camp for guard duty, was kinda lucky to have a rather peaceful nite, cos the guard com was f***ed up, then wed afternoon started work, cleared another of my storehouse, which is great news, now i've got onli one storehouse to upkeep...

Thurs IPPT failed again, well its the 4th time le, time to buck up... I did 35 sit-ups, SBJ was 189cm, shuttle run was 10.6s, ZERO fighter for pull-up, plus i dunno my timing for 2.4km run, i came in 40th place... Shld have kena RT todae but the nominal roll din have my name, so i shld count my lucky stars, perhaps they juz missed my name, lol...

Won 7 bucks todae, thanx to Wigan's win, minus the money betted on Spurs and Birmingham to win... Aniway can get some returns back is quite good liao, reasonably happy todae...

Oh yea i've gotta clear my leave soon, got 10 days to consume by 31 dec... I'll most prob take it between Christmas and New Year's Day, plus 5-6 long weekends... Think tats abt it, nowadays blog cannot write too much, will kena charged one... Haha...

Todae is my birthday!!! Oh yea i've got the perfect birthday gift, MARKSMAN for my ATP!!! Juz made the grade, got 22 hits... 11/16 for day shoot, 11/12 for nite shoot!!! Could have gotten a few more for day shoot, if not for IA during my 100m squatting postion, but still i am very very happy, cos i missed my first nite shot, then hit 11 consecutive shots to claim marksman!!!

Will be on birthday off tmrl to enjoy and rest oso, then will be another hectic week coming up... Tuesday go back camp to clean my carbon-stained "wife", then guard duty tat nite, IPPT coming up on thursday... Think if i fail this one sat confirm kena RT liao, haiz... lan lan suck thumb... how to pass???

Will be going for my ATP shoot from tmrl onwards, wun be back till the wee hrs of friday nite i think, i juz hope to catch the last bus, dun wanna take cab home from my camp, it will cost a whopping 15 bucks excluding midnite charges... I'm aiming to get marksman, for the extra 200 bucks, but it ain't gonna be easy, as i found out during the IMT...

Gonna claim my birthday off next monday, so can have long weekend to rest after ATP, haha... plan sui sui liao... Anyway rather sad tat F1 season ending this Sunday, no more races till March next yr, its gonna be hard to survive without F1, maybe can use A1 as substitute for time being... Juz heard tat the Malaysian A1 race's gonna be held at nite, so shld be more exciting, more cars buang cos cannot see clearly... haha...

I'm rather shocked that Bali kena bombed again, i din think the terrorists would be that audacious to try a 2nd attack in the same place, make me realise that disaster is never too far away from us, musn't let our guards down...

Won a lil money over the weekend, thanx to Man City and Darius Vassell for scoring the second goal deep inside injury time, i betted on them to win by 2 goals... Did guard duty last nite, and took half day off to recuperate todae... Anyway last nite's duty was damn slack, bcos got no turn-outs, plus it was cat I during both my details, so din have to prowl at all...

Was hoping to go for fork-lift course, but it looks as if this hope has gone, bcos we're merging wif platoon 1, so we'll have 7 fork-lift drivers in total, which is way too many... Dun think MSG William will send anymore ppl for fork-lift course... Anyway i took my first small step towards getting my drving license, went to sign up for basic theory test at SSDC wif jk and kl... Hopefully i'll get my license soon, most prob i'll be sharing the same private instructor wif jk...

Read in the papers todae Singapore's Denis Lian finished 5th in FPA race at Brands Hatch last Sunday, sort of surprised me cos i din think he was tat good, i really think Singaporean drivers shld be given a chance to perform on the international stage... We shld really try to send in our own A1GP team, its not impossible, even Malaysia and Indonesia took part, so why not the financially strongest country in South-East Asia???

Took MC todae, cos got quite jialat skin infection... The doctor oso quite blur i think, cos after checking me he refered to a book b4 giving the diagnosis... I thot i kena ringworm, but the doc say its juz nomal skin infection, gave me cream and anti-biotics, and asked me to return next week for another check-up...

I'm quite worried, worried that it wun heal in time for my guard duty next monday, which will make the infection worse... Worried that it will leave permanent patches on my skin even if i recovers... How???
